HOW IT All Began
It all started with two explorers.
The founders of Small Roads, Duan Yijin and Li Mengdi, began their journey by collecting disappearing traditional cultures along the rural paths of Guizhou, China. Over time, their travels expanded to small roads all over the world.
During their five years of travel, they encountered immense kindness and warmth from local communities. They continually pondered how to create a type of travel that benefits both travelers and local communities. This led to the creation of the Small Roads.
On this path, we remain committed to preserving traditional cultures, giving back to local communities, staying curious, and bravely exploring.
